Service Description

An Indian Head massage, also known as champissage, is a holistic treatment that involves massaging the head, neck, shoulders, and sometimes the upper back and arms. The massage uses a variety of techniques, including circular strokes, deep kneading, and compression. Goal The goal of the massage is to release tension, promote relaxation, and rebalance the body's energies. Benefits The massage can have many physical and mental health benefits, including improving hair and scalp condition, reducing stress, and relieving muscle tension. Duration The massage usually lasts between 20 and 45 minutes. Equipment The massage may use oils, such as sweet almond, argan, or coconut oil, but equipment is not usually required. Origin The massage originated in India over a thousand years ago and was developed by holy men (Rishis) from the Himalayan region. Before an Indian Head massage, you should wear loose-fitting clothing and remove any hair bands, clips, or slides. You may want to bring a cap or hair band with you to cover your hair after the massage. Either Pay in full or leave a deposit. All payments are non transferable or refundable unless exceptional circumstances are granted, at Kate's discretion. If only paying the deposit today, please ring cash to your appointment for the outstanding balance.
